Third Quarter 18th Century

Height 110 x width 65 x depth 27 1/4 inches.

This lot is located in Chicago.

Condition
Appearing in overall good, stable, and ready to place condition. Armoire deconstructs into smaller sections for moving and storage and is held together with wood dowels when assembled. Scattered worming throughout consistent with age and heavier worming on the feet. Old scuffs, marks and scrapes throughout. Age cracks to the case and the feet; not appearing to impact stability. A few small areas of fill to the front of the armoire's doors. Some minor separation of the trim in the upper portion of the armoire's proper right side. The cornice with old age cracks. The proper right back leg with white paint residue. The proper left back leg with an age crack and area of loss. Drawers on the interior are somewhat difficult to open and close due to warping on the case. The proper left door is slightly warped, but still closes securely. With a key which works in the lock and with four shelves. There is a panel that appears to be meant to enclose either the top or bottom of the case, meaning that one end would have to be open. Additional images are available upon request.
